You are bidding on what is likely the FINEST KNOWN COPY OF THE LAIRD'S PERFUME STAMP, SCOTT RT15c DOUBLE TRANSFER. The stamp is in a state of absolute perfection. It was obtained and authenicated at the Joyce auction by Eric Jackson. There are a mere 9 copies of Scott RT15c. This copy was owned by Morton Dean Joyce, America's foremost revenue collector. Joyce had an uncanny eye for the best! Of the 9 copies, I believe there to be only two stamps with DOUBLE TRANSFERS. On this stamp, the double transfer is dramatic. Almost every letter of "COMPLEXION & SKIN" is doubled! (The other stamp is faulty and the double transfer nowhere near as dramatic). The owner of this stamp will possess what is arguably the most beautiful of the private die revenues. In addition, it is a one-of-a-kind world-class gem. The pink color is truly spectacular. The scan, unfortunately, does not do justice to the blazing lush color and to the extensive and striking double transfer. Better resolution scans can be emailed upon request. Catalog value is up a whooping 667% from 2007!!! The 2008 value is in italics. In my opinion, the sky is the limit. A rare opportunity. Buyer must pay within 7 days of auction end.
