The 4 states were ceded to Thaniland by the Japanese, and reverted to the British in 1945. There is no gum on the 1c, 2c, 3c and 4c values. The coloration on the back of the 8c is probably due to gum contact with the front of another sheet of stamps of the 8c value. The stamp dealers in Thailand do not have any stock of this item.
