Ex-British Africa, post-1960 mostly used selection, CV $513. Clean and sound group of mostly postally used. Mostly Kenya, Malawi, Namibia, Nigeria, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zimbabwe. About 400-450 different; probably half of them are better singles, having CVs $1 to $10 each. (see end of listing for scan(s)...) MAKING PAYMENT FOR LOTS Your total cost for a transaction will be the total of (1) the total of your bids for the lots you won; (2) a handling fee to partially cover the cost of my labor in preparing the lots for listing and then preparing them for shipment, and the cost of listing the lots on eBay; the handling fee is 50 cents for a first lot and 25 cents for each additional lot; and (3) the ACTUAL estimated cost of shipping. You have two choices for determining the total amount due for the lots you have won. (1) accurate, safe, and very simple: Wait and get an invoice from me (I generally get these invoices out within 24 hours after the close of an auction; however, other demands on my time sometimes make this impossible.) or... (2) inaccurate, difficult to impossible, and likely to end up costing you more: Read the following information and try to figure out on your own what your total cost will be. (NOTE: If you make a PayPal payment based on your own calculations, and the amount you pay is less than the amount due, the payment will be refunded and a new payment will be requested. If you make a payment by check or money order in an insufficient amount, then an additional payment will be requested. In any case of an insufficient payment, an extra handling fee will be assessed to cover the extra work you have created for me.) Bid total and handling fee: You can easily and accurately determine the total of your bids, and my handling fee is as stated above. Shipping cost: eBay now requires that every listing specify shipping cost. In my case, where the only thing I sell on eBay is stamps, this is ridiculous. It is impossible to know the actual shipping cost until I know exactly what is in the shipment, where the lots are to be shipped, and what method of shipment is to be used. Nevertheless, if you don’t want to wait for an invoice showing the correct amount due, you can try to use the following information regarding shipping costs. (Remember that making an insufficient payment will result in the assessment of additional handling fees.) The shipping cost is always my best estimate of the actual cost of postage, including registration and/or insurance where required or requested (I don't make my money from high flat rate shipping charges). The actual final cost might differ slightly from the quoted total; usually this is because the final weight is a bit different than I estimated it would be. I don’t ask for additional payment if the actual shipping cost turns out to be a bit more than my estimate; and I don’t refund the difference if the actual shipping cost turns out to be a bit less than my estimate. Because most lots are small enough to easily fit in a regular letter-size envelope, most shipments are made by regular first class mail, without tracking, insurance, or registered mail; this method of shipment is safe for mail within the US and Canada and to most other countries. The cost of shipment by this method is $0.42 to any US address, $0.72 to Canada or Mexico, or $0.94 to other countries. It is absolutely pointless to try to quote shipping cost for anything except these small letter-size shipments, since the actual cost will vary depending on the actual weight and the destination. IF YOU WANT PROTECTION AGAINST LOST SHIPMENTS USING INSURED OR REGISTERED MAIL, YOU MUST REQUEST THE ADDITIONAL SERVICES AND PAY THE EXTRA HANDLING FEES AND SHIPPING COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH THOSE SERVICES. Full payment expected Except under special circumstances, no lots will be shipped until the full amount due has been paid.
